About Me

I really enjoy being a therapist. The chance to see people experience growth and positive change is truly fulfilling. For years I worked as a labor and delivery nurse witnessing the miracle of new life. What a privilege to see a new soul come into the world. Now I consider it a privilege to witness one’s journey to their true potential, innate strength and wholeness.

As a person I am easy to talk and work with. I have a warm presence and I easily blend seriousness with humor. I have a flexible approach, encouraging free expression of all feelings and thoughts—at the same time maintaining a highly professional and safe atmosphere of confidentiality and respect for the client.

Since 1998 I have worked with individuals who are experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship issues, grief/loss, self-esteem/empowerment issues, the effects of childhood abuse, trauma, postpartum issues, spiritual concerns and life transitions. I hold the license of Marriage and Family Therapist. (California MFT License #38593). Licensure certifies that a psychotherapist has a Masters degree from an accredited university and has passed a state written examination as well as an oral examination given by the State Board of Behavioral Sciences. I received a Masters’ degree from The California Institute of Integral Studies. I also hold the license for a Professional Clinical Counselor(California LPCC #580). I am trained in Dr. Brené Brown’s Daring Way™ Curriculum and I’m a Certified Daring Way™ Facilitator(CDWF). I place great importance on continued education and attend ongoing professional consultation and workshops. In addition I bring over 20 years experience working as a Registered Nurse.
